Of all the cities we visited...I was really charmed by this one.  The Colloseum was spectacular.  And the Trevi Fountain was magical.  Take a look...........

Paris was cold and rainy the first day. But, it didn't stop us. We found a Harley dealership, visited the Picasso Museum, Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, and watched the Rugby World up.

The second day, Ricky visited the Louvre...while I shopped on the Champs Elysees. Sadly, I didn't come away with a Louis Vuitton.  Instead, I settled for a few cute outfits.

Two days at Oktoberfest!!! We had a blast! And maybe our pictures captured the fun we had.

We also have some pictures of us exploring Munich - like the English Gardens, Glockenspiel, Marienplatz, etc.

To get to Burg Eltz, we  walked from the train station through a small town called Moselkern.  Eventually, we found ourselves on a hiking path in the forest.  About 1 hour and 10 minutes later we arrived at the castle. The views through the hike were breathtaking. We were lucky enough to see this area during the season change.  This was probably our favorite part of the whole trip!

Our first stop...Cochem, Germany. A charming, small town on the Moselle River.  It's famous for being the center of Germany's wine growing area!

It was our first Halloween in the new neighborhood.  Dressed the dogs up:  Pita was the Dragon Monster (again).  Red Bird was a ghost.

Yesterday, we adopted a retired racing greyhound! His name is Red Bird. We think we're going to keep the name as it is his actual racing name and we can't come up with something more fitting.

We're already in love with Red Bird. He is quiet, gentle and a great snuggler. So far, he lets Pita rule the house. Pita is holding her ranking well, so this shall never change as I see it.

We are teaching him to walk up stairs. Our guy has never seen or walked stairs ever in his life until he entered the retired world. We literally have have to stand behind him and walk each of his four paws up the stairs. But, since Red Bird is a smart dog, he's seemed to finally get it this evening. He's walked both sets of stairs all on his own.

February 11-13, 2006. Went to Seven Springs Resort in Somerset, PA. Jeremy and Brittany came with us.

This was Ricky's third time boarding. He is getting very good at it. I, on the other hand, was a complete disaster on the slopes on the snowboard. It took me 2.5 hours to get down my first slope. The second day was much better.

This was a great weekend. And here are some pictures that capture the fun we had.
